The 17th International Cocoa Research Conference was held 15-20 October 2012 in Yaoundé, Cameroon.

The conference was organised by the Alliance of Cocoa Producing countries (COPAL) in conjunction with the government of Cameroon. This year's theme was: "Improving the profitability of small and medium-sized farms: the principal key to a global sustainable cocoa economy". 

The members of CacaoNet got together during the conference to discuss the next steps of the Global Strategy for the Conservation and Use of Cacao Genetic Resources. A poster on the Global Strategy was presented and is available here (PDF 1Mb).
